Rice Paper Dumplings

Bowl Ingredients

200 grams of tofu (any version you enjoy, better when firm)

1/3 cup of shredded purple and green cabbage

2 medium carrots grated

4 scallions chopped

2 garlic gloves

1 tbs of minced ginger

1 tbs of sesame oil

1 tbs of soy sauce

rice paper sheets (follow package directions on how to soften)

Dipping Sauce

1-2 tbs of soy sauce

2 tsp of rice vinegar

1 tsp of maple syrup

1 tsp of chili paste (I love Momofuku Extra Spicy Chili Crunch)

Sprinkle of sesame seeds optional

Method

You can sauté the veggies to soften or leave raw. I prefer to sauté. Combine all bowl ingredients together and season to taste.

Dip rice paper into warm water for 5-8 seconds. Place 2-3 tsp of filling in the middle of the rice paper and wrap to seal.

Fry in your fry pan with oil, until golden brown. While warm dip and enjoy. Xx

Note: you can add any marinated protein to this dish. Note it must be cooked prior to wrapping.
