Girl Power Health Hacks

Do you ever feel completely overwhelmed when you contemplate the health changes that need to be made to feel damn good in the skin you’re in? I see overwhelm in my clients and this feeling leads to inaction. An inability to self motivate and see a clear path of actionable, tangible steps forward.

From my experience the best path forward is with simplicity. Take a few small wins, drive motivation forward and with time compound positive healthy action into sustainable health outcomes. So what are some easy actionable decisions you can make today, to move towards healthy outcomes?

Try these hacks for the month of June. How can it be June already?!? I know. Start messy today. In two weeks you will feel the change! By December you will be well on your way, to feeling the best you ever have!!

Hacks

  1. Considering most of us reside in the northern hemisphere, take advantage of the earlier sunlight. Have your morning hot beverage outside in the sunshine. Not only are you supporting a healthy circadian rhythm, you increase alertness and naturally produce vitamin D. Most of us our deficient in vitamin D, especially if your winter is 9 months long!

  2. Take your shoes off and walk on the Earth’s surface on grass, dirt or sand. This habit is known as ‘earthing’ or ‘grounding’ and balances the body’s electrical charge, connecting you to nature, reducing inflammation, improving sleep and overall well being. You can do it, my barefoot contessa!

If halfway through the year, you’re feeling mediocre in your body, try these simple strategies for a week and see how your body responds.
